Today is Day 31 of skiing this season.
It's -15 outside this morning. Skiing conditions are very good. There was a dusting of fresh snow overnight. All trails were groomed yesterday. I will be doing a bit of "touch-up" grooming today, refreshing a few areas and re-setting tracks. There is one tiny fly in the ointment: at the very north end of the Mainline trail, just as it reaches Airport Road, there is a persistent wet spot. Hopefully, with the cold temperature this morning, it will have frozen. I will go up there with a snow shovel and throw some powder snow on top.
Enjoy these great conditions while you can; we don't know how long they will last.
Just wanted to say Thank you for all the work you do keeping these ski trails in shape. Our family went out there today for the first time and we had a fantastic day! The trails are amazing, conditions were perfect. The icicle "wind-chimes" were magical. So very beautiful!
