Today, I took a walk through the northern portion of our trail network. I was surprised to see that someone had been skiing there today. Firstly, there is not really sufficient snow on the ground for skiing.
But secondly, these people were skiing in the area where active logging operations have been taking place. I have reminded trail users about this in several previous posts. ALL TRAILS NORTH OF, AND INCLUDING NUMBERS 9 AND 12 ARE CLOSED.
These folks had to take off their skis and walk a considerable distance before reaching a place where conditions were just barely tolerable for skiing.
PLEASE RESPECT THE CLOSURE OF THE NORTHERN TRAILS. Entering the closed area may endanger you, or adversely affect the operations of the logging contractor.
