We had a snowfall of about 8 cm yesterday, which brings our total accumulation on the ground to about 15 cm. The snow came on a strong west wind, which means that it is not uniformly distributed. In a few areas, the new snow has been totally stripped away by the wind, and deposited in a deep drift somewhere else.
I groomed all trails yesterday afternoon, after the snowfall had pretty well ended. However, drifting continued overnight, covering some of the grooming. I will do some touch-up grooming this morning to tidy up the worst areas.
Overall, skiing is quite nice now. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 7. Current temperature -7, with a predicted high of -5. This snow gives great glide.
Please don't try to ski any of the northern trails; they are all closed due to logging operations.
10 a.m. Update: drifted areas in the central section have been groomed again. The track is quite shallow in some spots, but it's better than nothing.
